Job Description:

This position oversees a team responsible for identifying growth opportunities and implementing new programs for a progressive human services agency. A strong background in project management and business development required.

FUNCTIONS:

  • Collaborate with grant writer to partner on projects
  • Research and create program models
  • Stay aware of emerging research-informed modalities to ensure we have head start of selling to customers
  • Become in-house experts on new initiatives such as Article 29-I, NY Start and the like
  • Transmit information to tutor key staff
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time
  • Ensure quality across all projects
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives
  • Develop and manage a detailed project plan
  • Track and report on project progress
  • Manage changes to project scope, timeline, and costs
  • Measure and communicate project performance
  • Report and escalate issues to management
  • Create and maintain complete project documentation
  • Create task sheet to drive project objectives
  • Work collaboratively with varied and multiple agency departments
  • Respond in a positive and respectful manner to diversity, among the agency’s service population

HOURS PER WEEK:

  • 40 hours, exempt position
  • Regular hours entail 9:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday
  • Must be flexible to meet program needs
  • Travel outside of regular work hours may be required based on project needs

Experience and Skills:

  • Master’s degree in related field required
  • Supervisory experience a plus
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, grant and proposal writing
  • Knowledge of Medicaid Managed Care a plus
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Strong skills in all Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Valid NYS Driver’s License required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
  • Ability to walk up and down stairs repeatedly
