Job Description:

The Medical Practice Manager will be responsible for overall operations of medical office, traveling when necessary to each New York City location


  • Develop and implement office policies and procedures
  • Ensure all medical staff licenses are up to date
  • Collaborate with stakeholders
  • Build effective relationships with agency staff and leadership
  • Complete reports as requested by the NYC Programs and stakeholders
  • Create and maintain effective tracking systems for medical department
  • Oversee and manage the UAC and Netsmart database to ensure it is updated regularly
  • Manage and organize all staff TB records, including scheduling new hire and annual appointments, tracking TB dates, running reports via Paylocity, coordinate with Human Resources
  • Maintain staff schedules
  • Manage NYC Program files
  • Schedule appointments
  • Oversee day to day operations of office
  • Oversee the ordering of medical and office supplies
  • Verify that medical equipment is inspected & serviced regularly
  • Supervise medical office managers and medical assistants
  • Implement 29i policies and procedures


  • Regular hours entail 9:00am-5:00pm, Monday - Friday
  • Must be flexible to meet program needs
  • Weekend and evening hours required

Experience and Skills:

  • 5-7 years administrative experience in a medical office and/or 2 years of experience managing medical office
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Health Care Administration
  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish strongly preferred: high proficiency in speaking, writing and reading both languages


  • Word processing: Including responding to e-mails, composing letters, completing computerized documentation, transcribing minutes for meetings, etc.: This involves sitting at a computer for several hours
  • Completing paperwork - Such as copying and stapling
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Sit/ride in vehicles, busses, subways, trains, planes - public transportation for lengthy periods of time
  • Walk up/down stairs
  • Walk to enter/exit subway and other public transportation
  • Walk several blocks to get to required location
