Job Description:

JOB OBJECTIVES : Under the supervision of the Director of Training and in cooperation with all other agency personnel, this staff will develop, edit and produce effective training so that staff may function successfully and safely in their jobs.

SCHEDULE: Full-Time, non-exempt position

  • Regular hours entail 9:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday
  • Must be available to work afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as assigned

Experience and Skills:

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education or other human services related degree required;
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Experience in curricula development required
  • Experience with Litmos preferred
  • Demonstrate strong curriculum design, stand up training and staff development
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a flexible team context
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook applications
  • Valid NYS Driver’s License required
  • Ability to travel to all agency locations

FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop, research and implement curricula relating to areas of agency programmatic need
  • Determine agency training needs and create comprehensive regularly scheduled trainings for all agency departments, as necessary
  • Develop and maintain research database that may be utilized to develop and review curriculum
  • Coordinate the assessment of current curriculum to ensure the training is meeting intended requirements
  • Use evaluations and data to make recommendations to improve curricula on a quarterly basis
  • Utilize technology to implement and develop LMS courses including PowerPoint and Articulate 360
  • Ensure training compliance with contracts, subcontracts and stakeholder requirements
  • As appropriate, identify and secure other agency staff or outside providers to deliver portions of training
  • Participate on committees that identify training needs, for example, the CQI Standing Committee, and incident review committees
  • Meet regularly with department directors to monitor on-going training and identify potential areas for skill building and staff training
  • Responsible for complying with rules and regulations governing access to Protected Health Information under HIPAA. Access protected Health Information is limited to the extent required to perform responsibilities herein, dictate the level of access, use, and disclosure of confidential information
  • Perform other duties as requested by your immediate supervisor or the Chief Executive Officer
