Job Description:

Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Florida TFFC Services, Clinician coordinates treatment planning and delivery for all program youth and families. Strives to build a partnership between the youth, foster family and discharge resource. Provides individual and family therapy to assigned youth and their families. Clinicians take a leadership role within a multidisciplinary team. Maintain professionalism in all areas including confidentiality. This staff member will maintain professionalism in all areas, including confidentiality.

HOURS PER WEEK: Exempt

  • Flexible schedule to meet program needs including evenings and weekends as needed; regular hours 9:00am - 5:00pm, Monday through Friday
  • Participate in on-call rotation and availability to respond in person as needed

FUNCTIONS:

  • Complete all required clinical sessions as well as documentation (case notes, treatment plans, mental health assessments, etc.) on time
  • Provide weekly individual therapy to program youth and bi-weekly family therapy to program youth’s family using TFFC treatment model which includes the philosophy of Attachment, Self-Regulation, and Competence Model
  • Complete biopsychosocial assessments, mental health assessments, treatment plans, trauma exposure and substance abuse screening assessments, and participates in completion of FASP’s for program youth through the State Connections System
  • Participate in 24 hour on-call availability on a rotating basis
  • Participate in weekly clinical team meetings
  • Provide record keeping and documentation for all clinical activities (case documentation)
  • Utilization of interventions drawn from evidence-based psychotherapeutic methodology
  • Support the youth’s adjustment to foster care
  • Provide training to foster parents as needed
  • Works in collaboration with the psychiatric nurse practitioner and provides psychiatric supports
  • Collaborates with the Health and Wellness Center as needed
  • Coordinate Treatment based services/supports including school, County Case Workers, Probation, Court, substance abuse counseling services, and home visits, medical care, as well as other ancillary services
  • Respond in a positive and respectful manner to diversity, among the agency’s service population and staff.
    • Attend required training
  • Adhere to professional code of ethics (example: NASW Code of Ethics)
  • Responsible for complying with rules and regulations governing access to Protected Health Information under HIPAA. Access to Protected Health Information is limited to the extent required to perform responsibilities effectively and efficiently. No access will be permitted unnecessarily. These essential job functions dictate the level of access, use, and disclosure of confidential information
  • Perform other duties as requested by your immediate supervisor or the Chief Executive Officer

 

Experience and Skills:

  • Master’s Degree in social work or related field. LCSW, LMHC, LMSW, LMFT, LCAT - Licensure required
  • Possess the knowledge, attitude, and skills needed to appreciate and encourage diversity
  • Adhere to agency competencies
  • Experience using a trauma informed treatment model
  • Experience providing home-based services preferred
  • Experience treating families, children, and adolescent
  • Ability to complete clinical case documentation and treatment planning
  • Experience completing comprehensive mental health assessments and treatment plans
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to participate in physical activities, including running, jumping, bending, and twisting
  • Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
  • Ability to walk up and down stairs repeatedly
