Job Description:

JOB OBJECTIVES:
To develop, implement, and oversee Cayuga Centers’ efforts to comply with Interim Final Rule (IFR) and ORR
policies and procedures regarding incidents of sexual abuse and sexual harassment. Serve as the point of
contact with ORR’s PSA Coordinator. Respond to requests related to sexual abuse prevention and response for
the agency. Ensure compliance on a daily basis and manage PSA compliance audit and response.

FUNCTIONS:

  • To develop, implement, and oversee Cayuga Centers’ efforts to comply with the Interim Final Rule (IFR) and
  • ORR policies and procedures regarding incidents of sexual abuse and sexual harassment
  • Serve as the point of contact with ORR’s PSA Coordinator
  • Respond to requests related to sexual abuse prevention and response for the agency
  • Ensure compliance on a daily basis
  • Manage PSA compliance audits and responses
  • Faciliate the SA-SIR Incident Review Committee as required
  • Complete regular checks of the program spaces as required by regulation
  • Oversee daily review of incidents of sexual assault and harrasment
  • Ensure appropritate tracking of incidents of sexual assault and harrasment
  • Aid in the training of agency staff regarding incidents of sexual abuse and sexual harassment and follow up requirements

Experience and Skills:

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Three years of experience in Human Services, Behavioral Science, or Social Service field strongly preferred
  • At minimum, one year experience working with child welfare standards, best practices, and compliance issues
  • Dedication to high quality record keeping, along with the ability to analyze and evaluate, written reports, files and determine necessary steps of action
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to proof read and edit
  • Strong ability to work independently as well as with a team
  • Flexibility to work when the families are available to meet
  • Ability to manage time effectively and multi task with the ability to stay highly organized
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well with people from many cultures including recent immigrants, non-English speakers, and LGBTQ children
  • Bi-lingual - English-Spanish required. All agency documents and records are in English, so English writing proficiency required. Position itself requires Spanish speaking, writing, and reading proficiency
  • Valid NYS Driver’s License required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Word processing: Including responding to e-mails, composing letters, completing computerized documentation, transcribing minutes for meetings, etc.: This involves sitting at a computer for a minimum of 5 hours and could be up to 7 hours a day depending on program needs.
  • Lifting of Agency file books - weighing approximately 6-8 lbs.
  • Completing paperwork -Such as copying, stapling as needed.
  • Answering phones, processing mail, filing, lifting packages as needed.
  • Cayuga Centers Competencies:
  • Walking up/down stairs
  • Visiting program units and areas das required.

HOURS PER WEEK:
Regular hours entail 9:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday. Must be flexible to meet program needs.
