Job Description:

JOB OBJECTIVES:To provide overall management of the Foster Care program within all NYC locations. This includes supervision of team consisting of the Assistant Vice President of ACS TFFC and Director of ACS FFC.

FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for the ACS TFFC and ACS FFC program and its outcomes
  • Act as the primary liaison with ACS and any NYS entity associated with ACS
  • Participate in all state and city meetings
  • Work closely with CQI Department to monitor program outcomes
  • Work as liaison between Cayuga Centers and ACS
  • Attend ACS director meetings
  • Ensure Cayuga Centers is in compliance with ACS mandates and do well with Scorecard
  • Create policy and procedures for ACS team
  • Coordinate both programmatic and financial elements of the services provided to the foster children in care.
  • Responsible for all reporting requirements of the Cooperative Agreement or, when applicable, the Statement of Work (i.e., programmatic and financial reports)
  • Supervise the various ACS departments and disciplines
  • Bring any issues or concerns to the designated Grants and/or Project Officer
  • Responsible for maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of Protected Health Information of service recipients in any form (e.g., computer access, conversation, document) during and surviving the termination, expiration or cancellation of employment/association with Cayuga Centers
  • Responsible for complying with rules and regulations governing access to Protected Health Information under HIPAA. Access to Protected Health Information is limited to the extent required to perform responsibilities effectively and efficiently. No access will be permitted unnecessarily. These essential job functions dictate the level of access, use, and disclosure of confidential information
  • Responds in a positive and respectful manner to diversity, among the agency’s service population and staff
  • Perform other duties as requested by your immediate supervisor or the Chief Executive Officer

Experience and Skills:

  • Appropriate Master’s degree or J.D. required
  • 7 years’ experience in managing progressive supervision in Human Services w/ advanced level of financial & managerial responsibilities - required
  • Familiarity with ACS, OCFS, OMRDD, OMH, and other relevant municipal and state agencies
  • Strong communication and organizational skills - required
  • Ability to lead and empower staff toward effective team work
  • Ability to handle confidential material in a responsible manner
  • Demonstrated ability to build and audit systems of compliance
  • Ability to work well with people from many cultures including recent immigrants, non-English speakers, and LGBTQ children
  • NYS Driver’s License preferred
  • Ability to travel to other agency locations as required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Word processing: Including responding to e-mails, composing letters, completing computerized documentation, transcribing minutes for meetings, etc.: This involves sitting at a computer for several hours a day
  • Completing paperwork -Such as copying, stapling as needed
  • Sit/ride in vehicles, busses, subways, trains, planes - public transportation for lengthy periods of time
  • Ability to travel and navigate between program sites

HOURS PER WEEK: Exempt.

  • Regular hours entail 9:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday. Must be flexible to meet program needs
