Job Description:

The Clinical Application Specialist/Trainer provides instruction on EHR applications, creates training materials, and assesses training needs of all clinical programs. This position is responsible for maintaining a training database, building user manuals, and developing and implementing a training curriculum for end users.

Schedule: Full-Time, Exempt

Regular hours 9am-5pm, travel to other agency locations required.

Functions:

  • Provide onboarding, end-user, and refresher trainings to staff across different programs for EHR system (NetSmart myEvolv) functionality and use

  • Provide updates and other trainings as needed regarding EHR system functionality

  • Create end-user manuals, guides, training materials, and other associated resources for staff

  • Build & maintain a training database for end-user manuals and other materials

  • Work with the Director of EHR Operations to develop, manage, and maintain a training curriculum

  • Work with the Training Department to integrate NetSmart training materials into the LMS system

  • Track and manage the completion of training courses by agency staff

  • Work closely with program management staff in order to understand program training needs and to explain EHR system processes

  • Participate in feedback sessions to revise trainings, training materials, etc. to better meet program needs

  • Significant amount of travel to other agency locations required

Experience and Skills:

  • Associate degree in an Information Systems or Computer Science related field OR an Associate degree in a Human Services related field

  • 1+ year(s)of experience using the NetSmart myEvolv EHR system

  • Strong computer skills - Windows, Google Suite, Smartsheet, NetSmart myEvolv, Excel, Powerpoint, Word

  • Learning Management Systems (LMS) experience

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Excellent written, verbal, and technical communication skills

  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical staff

  • Highly organized and methodical

  • Ability to complete tasks within deadlines and due dates with minimal supervision

  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once

  • Ability to work productively independently and as part of a team

  • Highly adaptable to changing situations

  • Ability to travel to all agency locations
