Job Description:

Under the direction of the Vice President of the CFTSS Programs the licensed clinician will provide intensive home, school and community based assessment, clinical treatment, and crisis intervention services to eligible youth and families. Cayuga County.

Schedule: Full-Time, Exempt

Regular hours vary, must be able to flex schedule to meet program needs. On-call rotation required.


  • Provide home and community-based, solution focused evaluation, treatment planning, therapy, and crisis intervention to children, families and groups
  • Actively participate as part of a team of service providers and others with focus on well coordinated services for family members
  • Assist children and families by actively referring them to appropriate longer-term services and supports when necessary
  • Perform the basic accountability tasks related to the job which include compiling and maintaining all necessary records, forms and reports
  • Assist administrative staff in collection of information for program effectiveness
  • Respond in a positive and respectful manner to diversity, among the agency’s service population and staff
  • Provide crisis interventions defusing problem situations on a 24-hour a day on-call basis

Experience and Skills:

* License in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Creative Art Therapy with experience in strength-based family and children’s services

* Ability and willingness to work with families in an "in-home" context

* Knowledge of family systems theory and home based interventions

* Knowledge and experience formulating clinical diagnoses

* Ability to engage families who may have been unsuccessful in clinic settings

* Ability to have flexibility in hours worked so as to meet children and families when they are available,

* Ability to keep track of units of service for billing

* Maintain a caseload and follows required number of direct service contacts

* NYS Driver's License
