Job Description:

Under the direction of the Vice President of the CBI Programs the licensed clinician will provide intensive home, school and community based assessment, clinical treatment, and crisis intervention services to eligible youth and families.


  • Provide home and community-based, solution focused evaluation, treatment planning, therapy, and crisis intervention to children, families and groups
  • Actively participates as part of a team of service providers and others with focus on well coordinated services for family members.
  • Assists children and families by actively referring them to appropriate longer-term services and supports when necessary
  • Performs the basic accountability tasks related to the job which include compiling and maintaining all necessary records, forms and reports.
  • Responsible for maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of Protected Health Information of service recipients in any form (eg., computer access, conversation, document) during and surviving the termination, expiration or cancellation of employment/association with CHC.
  • Provides on-call support as assigned
  • Assists administrative staff in collection of information for program effectiveness
  • Responds in a positive and respectful manner to diversity, among the agency’s service population and staff
  • Provide crisis interventions defusing problem situations on a 24-hour a day on-call basis


  • Flexible schedule, weekend availability required

Experience and Skills:

  • License in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Creative Art Therapy with experience in strength-based family and children’s services.
  • Ability and willingness to work with families in an "in-home" context.
  • Knowledge of family systems theory and home based interventions
  • Knowledge and experience formulating clinical diagnoses
  • Ability to engage families who may have been unsuccessful in clinic settings
  • Ability to handle confidential material in a responsible manner
  • Ability to have flexibility in hours worked both routinely, so as to meet children and families when they are available, and occasionally, in response to crises which may occur at any hour of any day
  • Ability to keep track of units of service for billing
  • Maintain a caseload and follows required number of direct service contacts
  • NYS drivers license required. 
  • Vehicle required: Must be safe and dependable.
