Job Description:

Under the supervision of the Director of Project Management, will be responsible for identifying and pursuing growth opportunities for the agency. A strong background in grant writing with the ability to meet deadlines while ensuring quality is required.

Functions:

  • Scan for new funding opportunities to spur the growth of existing services or to support entirely new programs
  • Provide concise information used to determine the benefit of pursuing new opportunities
  • Assist in determining the scope and objectives of proposals and developing cost-efficient and feasible budgets
  • Write high-quality grant proposal narratives, applications, and supporting documents
  • Collaborate with staff throughout the agency to inform the grant writing process
  • Secure various required attachments, attend bidder’s conferences and engage potential external partners
  • Track and report project progress and gather feedback from leadership and other staff
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time
  • Ensure quality across all projects
  • Report and escalate issues to management as needed
  • Manage changes to project scope, timeline, and costs
  • Monitor the status and final outcomes of various proposals/projects and report back to agency leadership
  • Secure feedback from funding sources to help ensure continuous quality improvement
  • Brief the appropriate staff following successful proposals and assist in program start-up efforts, as needed
  • Assist programs in gaining or maintaining various certifications/designations
  • Stay informed of emerging trends in child welfare on a local, state and national level, as well as various research-informed and evidence-based models being used throughout the country

Schedule: Full Time

Regular hours entail 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday. Must be flexible to meet program needs.

Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required; Master’s degree in related field strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in project management
  • Demonstrated experience in grant and proposal writing
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills
  • Strong organizational skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
